This & That
- J and I are joining a.....WAIT for IT.....GYM! I'm actually excited about it, however I have never had a gym membership, so don't really know what to expect. SIL made me do a two-mile run/walk with her yesterday and I am soooo sore right now. That right there tells me I am out of shape and all the more reason to join. I know there are some runners who are reading this as well as some regular gym members so if there's any advice, do's/don't's, suggestions you can give me, I would greatly appreciate it!! I know they have personal trainers to help out but from what I hear{mainly from SIL} is that they make you feel guilty about eating junk food and they yell at you to "help" you stay motivated. That to me does not sound fun AT ALL. More than anything, I think that would make me want to quit and or cry. Besides, I'm not planning on changing up my whole lifestyle, I'm only planning on adding exercise to my current way of life. I just want to focus on my thighs, butt, abs and toning of my arms. I'm hoping that once I learn the lay of the land I can go, turn on my ipo.d, workout and leave. Definitely don't want some pt person all up in my business.
- And the before mentioned exercise should help me reach my goal of..."if I can't be a mom than I want to be one HAWT wife", especially in a two-piece! And, since we use to have a boat I have plenty of swimsuits for Hawaii{and I just bought this one and this one, I have an adiction, I know}!!!! Better quit talking about it and get my butt to the gym. We have just under 3 months til we leave, certainly I can be looking good by then, right?
- I finally have my eye dr appt on Tuesday! I am so happy to go and they better give me contacts or I will not be happy....Last year when I went and tried to get contacts they said I couldn't have them because I am near-sided in one eye and far-sided in the other so no contacts for me.(only to find out later that my mom is the same way and she wears contacts, so they are not fooling me this time. If they don't want to give them to me then I'll take my Rx and go else where.) I wound up not getting anything since I already had glasses and insurance wouldn't pay for anything until this year. Glasses are fine, but I can't wear them with sunglasses and I want so badly to see again!!!
- Thank you Kitty fo the help on un-following blogs. NO! I didn't stop following any of you ladies, I only got rid of a few on my list that had quit blogging.

Actually Dot I didn't delete you! I thought I had your new addy in my list but I don't so I kept our old one as a reminder to get the new one.

You go girl!!! Cardio AND weighs are the way to go to boost your metabolism faster and build lean muscle. You can't target where fat 'leaves' from, that's some biochemistry mumbo-jumbo that basically comes down to "your body will shed from where it wants to shed regardless of spot-training" - so I'd recommend hitting all the areas!
