Where do I begin? Let's see, a couple weeks back when I had strep I received an email from this work from home place I had applied at a few months ago. I applied two different times and each time I got as far as the voice assessment stage and then I would get disqualified. As it turns out, they were having some technical glitches and they wanted me to call again and re-record my answer. The email said, I had only 72 hours to respond if I was still interested. At this time I had hardly any voice, so I waited until the last day to call in hoping my voice would be better and called. I still sounded horrible, but did not care at this point. The following day I received an email saying I had passed and I could move on to the next step{background check}. I passed that, then enrolled in their AC.P 101 class{passed again}. I'm in the process of the last step and setting up my "home office" and then I should be in business. Basically, it is customer service from the convenience of your own home. Have you ever called some place and swear your call was routed to someone in India?!? Well, depending on who my clients are, ya might get me on the line one day. Who knows! My SIL{the one w/the 5 kids} has been doing this since January and is now making $400/wk. I think she works between 30-35 hours/wk. This is not really the job I wanted{hubby wants me to do it}, but I guess it is something, since I haven't had any luck finding a job elsewhere.
I am sorry I haven't been on the blogs much lately. I have been reading all of them, just didn't have time to comment on every one's while taking that class. Nor did I have time to post anything other than a couple of songs. Geesh! It's been a busy week for me and I am still trying to figure out how it came and went so fast. I thought today was Wednesday. =) *sigh*
I want to express how grateful I am for those of you who made donations for our next IVF C. When I shared the site with y'all in the beginning{or maybe you saw it on fb} it was merely for review. I never once thought you would be my contributors. After all, most of you are in the same boat as myself with no ins coverage and crappy IF. I am so grateful and blessed to have friends like you wonderful ladies. You all have touched my heart in ways I could never express. Thank you so very much for your generosity!!

Chin Up
That's what my inner voice keeps telling me. However, I can't help but
feel gloomy. My main goal for today was not to cry. I failed.
feel gloomy. My main goal for today was not to cry. I failed.
I really need to find a job. I've sent out a gazillion resumes but
that's not helping. Whatever happened to "apply within"?
I'm sick of being sick. First the week and a half long migraine, then
strep, now YI. What gives?? Isn't being infertile enough....apparently
not. All this being sick is not helping my mental state.
I miss my brother. *sigh*

Wowzers
I knew I would probly get some rude comments on my other blog, so I enabled the comment moderation thingy. This morning I looked and had 2 comments that need to be moderated. One was from M and the other annonymous. I published M's however the other one not so much.....Here is what they wrote{it's probly from some jackass in my family}
look into adoption.
insurance companies shouldn't pay for infertility treatments.
lots of little babies need homes right now.
I am so mad right now I am shaking. If they don't have the balls to sign their name to crap like that, then they are not getting published. I guess I need to post something about adoption next. And inform whoever, that even if we had chose adoption we would still be raising money. Idiots!
The part that really gets under my skin is them saying insurance shouldn't cover IF. Goes to show they have never been through it and I bet they would pitch a fit if their "fill in the blank" illness wasn't covered. Makes me want to have a post that reads something like this..."Thank you for the annon tip of looking into a adoption. What great insight you must have to think about that and offer it as a suggestion. How come we didn't think about that? Oh wait a minute, WE DID! YA MORONS..."
Stupid, ignorant people

SIPPING VODKA
I got the following in an email. I almost deleted, but thought I'd give it whirl instead. Glad I did! This is Hi.Larious!!!!
SIPPING VODKA
A new Priest at his first mass was so nervous he could hardly speak. After mass he asked the Monsignor how he had done.
The Monsignor replied, "When I am worried about getting nervous on the pulpit, I put a glass of vodka next to the water glass. If I start to get nervous, I take a sip."
So next Sunday he took the Monsignor's advice. At the beginning of the sermon, he got nervous and took a drink. He proceeded to talk up a storm.
Upon his return to his office after the mass, he found the following note on the door:
1) Sip the vodka, don't gulp.
2) There are 10 commandments, not 12.
3) There are 12 disciples, not 10.
4) Jesus was consecrated, not constipated.
5) Jacob wagered his donkey, he did not bet his ass.
6) We do not refer to Jesus Christ as the late J.C..
7) The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not referred to as Daddy, Junior and the Spook.
8) David slew Goliath; he did not kick the shit out of him..
9) When David was hit by a rock and was knocked off his donkey, don't say he was stoned off his ass.
10) We do not refer to the cross as the 'Big T.'
11) When Jesus broke the bread at the last supper he said, "Take this and eat it for this is my body." He did not say, "Eat me."
12) The Virgin Mary is not called 'Mary with the Cherry'.
13) The recommended grace before a meal is not: Rub-A-Dub-Dub thanks for the grub, Yeah God.
14) Next Sunday there will be a taffy pulling contest at St. Peter's not a peter pulling contest at St. Taffy's.
shoulda, woulda, coulda
The meds I'm on for this strep gave me some kind of mouth ulcers. My mouth hurts wicked bad anytime I eat anything. So, I basically stopped eating. I can drink water, iced tea & chocolate milk, with little to no pain. But, I have only eaten three meals in the last 4 or 5 days. It feels as though I have several papercuts on the roof of my mouth. J looked at it and said he didn't see anything, nor was it red. I'm hoping it goes away soon. I miss food!
Guess I shoulda joined the weightloss blog. I think{don't have a scale} I've lost a little weight since my new denim shorts are fitting a bit loose now. I couldn't hardly breathe in them before, they might have been on the tight side. But now, buttoning them and breathing in them is no problemo! AND, this was noticed during AF's visit when I am usually quite bloated.
Everyone has an ideal weight that they like to stay at. Me? I never reveal my number, basically beacause I am tall and for the most part thin and so everyone gets disgusted if I dare mention the fatal phrase, "trying to lose weight." Whatever. However, I will tell you that I am not having to hold my stomach in as much and the last time I did weigh myself{at MIL's} I was very close to my personal goal. Go me!

We've gone global....
I launched our blog site today on fb. I didn't stop there, I then sent out an email with the link to just about everyone in our contacts. My MIL said she's going to forward the link to everyone she has ever met. And she will. My sister already added it to her fb page. Yay! So glad the fam is helping me spread the word! Now I'm just gonna sit back and hope and pray my rich uncles take pity on us. ;) ;)

"chopped to bits"
Actual conversation with dh today.....
him - you still have AF?
me - yep
him - hmm,
me - what?
him - I wanted to fd and you've been sick and now you have af
me - I guess I could get a hysterectomy then we wouldn't have to deal w/AF
him - doesn't that kill the other thing?
me - you mean, the chance of ever getting PG part?
him - yeah
me - oh yes! it murders the chance. it slaughters it, chops it up into pieces, chews it up and spits it back out
him - huh
me - was that too graphic?
him - a little
me - good thing I'm not bitter about it
him - yeah, good thing

Searching
Why is it I am always looking for a job on the weekends? No one is open and then I just stress myself out worrying about money, or rather the tremendous lack-of-money. Ahh! I think I'm giving myself an ulcer.

the threat is imminent
The swelling in my glands is now manageable, as long as I stay medicated. I thought I was getting better so I let the meds wear off and back came the pain in my ear when swallowing. So back on the aspirin I go.
My sister came in town this week for an interview(don't think it's what she's looking for) and I was supposed to pick her up from the airport. But the mere mention of strep and I might as well have said I have the plague. I get it, she doesn't have insurance and my parent's ins. sucks, needless to say I don't get to see my sis while she is in town. =(
We bought a Yuk.on yesterday, paid cash for it(Yay!) Hubby has a few things to fix on it, like the a/c for one, definitely need that living in TX. It's a 94, so it's seen better days, but it runs and now we can sell J's truck and only have 1 truck payment. That will be a nice change. We are also selling the boat. =( Anyone in the market for a truck and/or a boat?!?!
My last 3 C's have been short and now this month my phone app says I'm 3 days late. And even though I thought with a "less than 1% chance" I wouldn't get my hopes up, I was wrong. They were up, way up...But alas, spot showed today and before too long it was full-blown AF. I am so sick of this dreadful witch.
*forgive me for not coming up with a better title. I watched Pearl.Harbor the other day(for the gazillionth time) and I swear that line is used 10 times in the movie.*

Option 2 it is
Thanks for all your votes and input! I decided to go with option 2 since it is more personal and I don't want our page to look like everyone else's fundraising page. I did add the chipin counter thingy and a few IF links and the "what.IF" video. I like it the way it is and as soon as I hook up the paypal part we will be in business. Thanks agian for helping me out!

Breathing fire
What the hell is wrong with people? So my friend and former co-worker T was having trouble TTC and I thought I was there for her during her m/c and just overall as someone who can relate with IF. It's been a few months since we last saw each other but we talk via fb quite often. I've tried to get together with her and catch up but with her working we haven't been able too. Yesterday I get on Fb and right smack in front of my eyes is her sono pics. She's having a baby and never even told me. She's almost in her second tri and from her coments it doesn't seem like they have been keeping it a secret. We play wor.dswi.thfri.ends on our Iphones daily and she never once says anything. I want to be mad at her, but then I'm happy someone else has survived IF. But still this is why I say Fb is the devil.
I need your votes please!
As you know I am starting a fund to raise money for our next IVF C. I have come up with two different ways to do this, but now I am finding it hard t0 decide which one is best for the public eye. Please take a look at each of the following sites and vote(in the comments section) for your choice. Thanks so much for the help, ladies!

Goodnight & Goodbye
I'm thinking I'm going to delete my button.bottom.crafts blog. The reason being is, I see them in boutique-type stores all the time now and I figure people have started making them themself to save a few bucks( just didn't think family would be part of it). I know this because of what happened the other day. My SIL was in town and said she had started a towel and needed me to help her finish it. Now seeing as I originally got the idea from her cousin(who used to make them) I thought I would help her this time. So I was over at my moms the other day and she brings out the towel and she hadn't even started sewing the dang thing. {strike 1} She had also told me she wanted me to help her use her sewing machine cause she didn't know how to sew or use the machine. After I spent about an hour trying to figure out the thing(it was a fancy-shmancy one & the one I have is old) she informs me that this is my moms machine. And she didn't know where I got that i thought it was hers, whatever! {strike 2} I was a bit irritated at this point so I sat there and let her sew the whole thing and every once in a while told her the next step. Then, after she finished it(if you can call it that) her and I and my mom were sitting around talking and here comes the third strike....she says, all cocky-like "So I got two towels for ten dollars and the ribbon for four dollars, so I can make two towels for $14 bucks and not have to give you $25 for just one!" NO SHIT!! Of course you can make it yourself for less money. But there ain't a business person around that will sell something for what it cost to make it. It's called PROFIT for a reason. Jackass! {strike 3}
In an very aggrevated tone I said how I should've trademarked it. To which I was bluntly told(by SIL) that people have been making them for years. So I told her it's people like her that put an end to boutique stores and walked out of the room. It was then that I mumbled under my breath and called her a b*#^*..... Then my own mom says she thinks she will start making them herself too. WTH?? The only reason SIL got those towels at that price is cause they were neon and on sale. Nothing says sweet new baby like a neon colored towel. AND, the only reason I didn't go postal on her a$$ was because the towel looked like crap. Hehe.
Goodnight all.
With that said, if my own family is going to stop purchasing from me then I don't expect many others would want to buy one either. I will still have my giveaways from time to time(on this blog) and if you ever do want one, you know where to find me!

We're going public....
I bit the bullet and talked to J last night about starting a blog to raise money for our next IVF C....to my surprise, he was fine with it. And, he said he thought it was a good idea! I had drove myself batty about bringing it up with him, thinking he would say no{since we both hate asking for money and or help}. Whew, what a relief, glad he's on board! I didn't stop there, I talked to MIL today and before I could even finish telling her about it she said, she knew all of her family would contribute cause they've already said they want to help. Yay!
Now, I certainly don't expect to raise the full amount but whatever we could raise would be extremely helpful to us. And I think I am going to open a separate account(at a different bank) for the sole purpose of raising these funds. That way there is no way it could accidentally be spent on anything else.
I have a few more things I want to edit and then I will give you ladies a preview{if you are interested}. But before that can happen I need you to put on your best wordsmith-thinking-caps and help me come up with my first post...Mainly so it doesn't have "No Posts" visible when the page opens up. Just a brief welcome to the blog, post.

So here's the thing
I've been contemplating starting an additional blog. One that is open to my IRL family and friends. Not only open to them, but a site that I would share and give out to anyone and everyone we know. A site I could go public with and add to our Fb page for all the world to see.
Essentially, it would be a fundraising blog for us to try and raise money towards an IVF C, complete with a link to make a donation right then and there. My MIL once said how she wished there were some way to have a benefit for us to help raise money. This is the closest thing I can come up with.
I have been throwing this idea around in my head{haven't even talked to J about it yet} and can't decide whether or not we should try it. The only concern I have thought of is, I don't want my IRL persons to know about my TTC blog. That is where I express my inner thoughts that are only shared with DH and you ladies. So, in order for me to have clarity on my decision, I decided who better to ask than my fellow IF'ers....Is it a good idea? What do you think?...And, please don't candy coat it, I want your honest opinions, thoughts, concerns, etc.

The job hunt continues & food!
I didn't hear anything on all the resumes I sent out over the weekend....Bummer. I did go and fill out an application for a secretary position at a nursing home. That could be a good job and it's close to home, so that's a plus! There were two other ladies filling out apps as well, but I'm hoping they were applying for the nurse position. I know it's doubtful, but a girl can dream, right? The receptionist said the hiring lady was on vacation and it might be 2weeks before we{the applicants} hear anything.
If hubby ever gets home we are going to have a late dinner and watch a ne.tfl.ix movie. It has JG in it so it has to be good! =} I have ccoked up a feast of pico de gallo, gaucamole and enchiladas...all homemade and from scratch!! All of these great recipes can be found in my new favorite cookbook I recently bought it and was instantly hooked. I'm making my way through the book. I haven't cooked/ate anything I didn't instantly fall in love with. Her website has even more scrumtious recipes - DELISH!

finally
My headache is GONE!! Completely and fully, 100% out the door...or rather out of my head! Now if I could only get rid of this nausea I would be back in business. I loathe this sick feeling. I would most definitely put up with it for only one reason, but since that's not the case, I'm sick of it and want it gone.
I am back to looking for a job. I emailed/faxed my resume to a dozen places on Saturday. My hope with that is that the hiring person will come in on Tuesday and see that I sent it on Saturday and know that I mean business for applying for jobs, not only on the weekend, but a holiday weekend! I really need to find one this week, so fingers crossed everyone! Everything{financially} was running smoothly with me not working until all of a sudden we hit a bump in the road and it all went down the drain. I'm fine with working{provided I like what I do} like my last job as a data entry person, I loved that job! Plus, if we ever want to have the money for IVF again I need to get my butt back on the employed side of the world. This unemployment ain't all it's cracked up to be.

T-N-T DyN-O-MiTe
It's started! The fireworks parties have begun....We live outside city
limits, so anything goes. I'm guessing we can save a bundle of money
over the years by sitting on our back porch and watching the
neighbor's shows of colorful lights and booming sounds!!!

a lot of ticks outside this year, and I just can't take the risk.

this & that
I feel it is time for me to have a new post. Try to move on from the last, dreadful one. Actually, it hasn't been too bad....Although, I have yet to have a meltdown, unless you call that mild outburst I had towards my pillow(yes, I said pillow) last night, a meltdown? I mean it has the most simplest job, just lie there, but NOoooo! There was some yelling, total agitation and maybe a few swear words, but since it only lasted a few seconds and there were no tears, I really don't count it as a true meltdown. My feelings towards this whole "less than 1" are slightly unsettleing. With the exception of the before mentioned, non-meltdown, meltdown I feel quite calm about it. I'm sure it is only the calm before the freakishly, odd storm that is headed my way. I just hope it doesn't arrive at the fourth of July party when I am surrounded by friends & family.
I found out last week my dog is in heat, again. I quickly took her to the vet to get fixed. I am not trying to have another PG dog. AND, since she had 10 the first time I can't even imagine what she'd have this time. However, since I brought her home the neighbor dogs have been camped out on my back porch. If she winds up PG again, I am so taking her to the vet and demanding a full refund!!
I think the migraine might be on it's way out the door...thank goodness! The last two nights I took my melatonin and my oh my, I can't remember why I ever stopped taking it. Night before last I slept for a whopping 14 hours, last night I slept for 12 hours!! I think that has been the best thing for me. Maybe, I'll only take a half a pill tonight.
My house is atrotious! If I don't get off this computer and get it cleaned today I'm gonna go insane. Isn't it funny how a dirty house can make you feel crappy?!? But seriously, I've dragged this post on long enough, it is time to get up and be productive!
Happy 4th to everyone!! Hope it's a fun{and safe} one!
