my OH my!

Where do I begin? I guess this week has brought news, bad news & worse news.....I don't know which is the worse.

Okay so Tuesday I went to 8 hours of training for my new position, only to go in the next day and be told that they decided to give my new position to someone else and they would be laying me off instead. WTH? I probly only have a week left(if i'm lucky) and then I'll be standing in line at the un-employment office. *sigh* Oh, and we just bought J a work truck last week. We thought since I was still gonna have a job we could spend a little more money and finance a truck rather than pay cash for a clunker. Had we have known this was going to happen we would have NEVER bought that truck. So for now, we have THREE truck payments(cause my truck hadn't sold yet). AND, I'm being laid off! *SIGH*

I left work today at noon to go to another appt for the lump in my Bb, while driving there I accidently ran someone of the road! She was in my blind, I NEVER saw her. I was changing lanes.....I looked out the passenger window, didn't see anything, looked in the mirrors, nothing. Turned my blinker on and moved over. I was all the way over before I saw a streak of white in the mirror and then I heard brakes squeal. I looked in the rear view mirrow and there she goes sideways into the ditch! OMG!!! I turned around and tried to get back quickly to check on her but there was no place to get back on the highway for 2 miles! So, I FINALLY make it back to the scene and the driver behind her was there along with the police......Um, I'm petty sure the driver behind her thought I was fleeing the scene and thats why he called the police. Ugh! Thank God the lady was not hurt and nothing happened to the car so the officer didn't even have to file an accident report. That was a very close call. I was more shook up then she was, I kept asking her if she was sure she was okay and she actually gave me a hug, said she was fine(for like the gazillionth time) and told me not to worry about it. How nice is she?!?!

Then, after about 30 mins there I got to leave and try to get to my appt. Clearly that was NOT going to happen, so i called the office explained the situation, said I was on my way but I would definitely be late and would I still be able to be seen? The snotty girl said if got there by 1:45, didn't think that was gonna happen, but told her I would try. Hung up and realized I needed to stop and get gas.....NO diesel and wouldn't you know I get to my third gas station before I find one that sells diesel.......Are you freaking kidding me, right now? I made it to the Dr at 2pm, and that snotty little girl says, I'll have to check if you can still be seen. Luckily, the doc said yes and he was super nice. Never been to him before, but he was good. He checks me out and really did not think it was a prob but told me he wanted to re-evaluate in December after a few more cycles had come and gone. If it is still there then he said he would order a mammo - So NOT looking forward to that, since I hear they hurt like hell! Hopefully, it will go away and I won't have to worry about it anymore.

And, to top it all off......My wisdom teeth have decided to come in and my mouth has been hurting for over a week! I stopped at the dentist after my dr appt and I guess they were closing..... cause they said the x-ray machine was already taken down - whatever that means. The doc wrote me a Rx for Amoxicillin(sp) and told me to come back Monday morning and see when I get to have them taken out. I am such a baby when it comes to teeth work. J just had two of his wisdom teeth taken out and he was in so MUCH PAIN!! He has the highest pain tolerance out of everyone I know! And me? I have the lowest pain tolerance out of everyone I know. Aahh, I'm am already dreading it.

Wow! Sorry this got so long and if you are still reading this thank-you for sticking it out!

I Knew I'd Regret It

AND sure enough, I did, I do.....I always will. >sigh<

My cousin's daughter, friend-requested me on fb. I had heard through her grandma's(my aunt) fb page that she was preggo...Ugh! Well I reluctantly confirmed her as a friend and wouldn't you know there is a pic of her showing off her pregnantness...UGH! Don't worry, she had a dress on. It was actually a loose one and you probly would have never noticed maybe just thought she had gained a little weight. But the way she stood & how she placed her arm to frame her belly made it quite clear.....Uugghh!!

If that wasn't bad enough, I peered into her info(another BIG mistake) only to figure out that she must have gotten KU on the honeymoon. Lucky for her, but MAKES ME SICK.....UUGGHHH!!!!!!

The BIG 4-2

NO, that's not how old I am now!....BUT..... it is the absolute last age I can be before we will officially stop TTC. The hubs & I had a little talk about all of this and that's what age we decided on. J's whole theory is, if you have a kid at the age of forty-two, the kid will be out of the house by the time retirement age comes(60). But seriously, I think it will be more like late thirty's - 40 at the latest. Mainly for health reasons and a little because we don't want to be 60 and have a 10 year old running around.

This all happened after a realization I had this work at week. I was sitting in my cubicle when all of a sudden this thought rolled into my head that next year I will be thirty.....30, the very age my mom was when she had me.......her fourth child. That's right, she had all 4 of her kids by the time she was thirty and I will be thirty next year and still not have any children.

We talked a little about adoption, we are not against it at all, but its not what we want to do just yet. Also talked about J having the varicocele (sp) surgery. That's not an option right now either, since J would have to take off work for 6 weeks and we can't afford that right now, especially since there is no guaruntee it will work. Technically, he would only have to go on light-duty, but his job doesn't have that so he would just have to take a leave of absence.

I had always said that we would stop TTC if it ever became a problem in our marriage. But, I guess it's only normal to have a stop age, so that's our age.

Wallowing in self-pity and a bag of D.ove Milk Chocolate Caramels.

Not much else to say.

I started

5 days late, then I start. WHY? It's hard enough starting on time I don't know why my stupid body doesn't get it. If I can't get pregnant and I still have to have the reminder EVERY month that I am not pregnant, than why can't it just start on time?

I don't know why but I really thought this was my month. Starting to cry again....I don't know how much longer I can do all of this.

Job Update

It looks like I might keep my job after all! Well, it's not the exact position I'm in right now, but a new, possibly higher paying position. Ok, I'll start at the beginning. Friday, I got called into the office, I was prepared for the whole "your being laid-off" speech, but instead they actually offered me a new position! I was so shocked!! I couldn't believe it. I thought for sure I was getting the boot! I barely mustered up the words to tell them I was definitely interested, and I just wanted to discuss it with my husband and then I will let them know.

The position they offered me is a Floater. I would mainly work out of one office, doing somewhat the same thing as what I'm currently doing. And then, if someone is out on vaca or out sick in one of the 7 other offices then go there to fill in.

I am very interested but I'm still waiting to hear back on some questions I asked. I need to know a few more details so J and I can decide what's best.

((HUGS)) to all my IF girls!

"Life is short, break the rules, forgive sooner, love with true love, laugh without control and always keep smiling. Maybe life is not the party that we were expecting, but in the mean time, we're here and we can still dance......"

Family Vent

More specificly(sp).......J's nana, not to be confused with his mamaw (that we lived with).

Ooh-Kay, a little history on nana.......She is NOT like your usual gramma with unconditional love for everyone. No! Not this lady. She is currently not talking to us cause we didn't invite her to our garage sale......Umm, It's a garage sale, you don't invite people to it!!!

Well, we went to our 3 yr old nieces b-day party last weekend and yep, she was there. We were a little late and came in during the present-opening extravaganza! So after that was done we went over and said hello to her so she didn't get mad(she gets mad if you don't come to her & say hello regardless if she's not talking to you) So, we say hello, give her a hug.....and she says "when am I gonna get to come see your house?" And J says, "whenever you show up on the doorstep & ring the bell".......She then says, "NO, I WANT AN INVITATION."

We lived in our other house for 5 years and invited her several times and she didn't come once! OH, But she had NO PROBLEM going to J's brother's house ALL THE TIME and he lived 8 houses down from us, on the SAME STREET!!!!!

I am NOT sending her an invite, I have better uses for my stamps!! ARGH! :x(thats the best emoticon I could come up with for a disgruntled look)

RANDOM 100

Since this is my 100th post I thought I'd go a little random with it........

truth be told, I started on this a few days ago. I come up with all sorts of random things to say until I have the computer in front of me......then, nothing! ;}

First things first......We had a BLAST ziplining and B andB's are my new fave place to stay!! Since I forgot to take my camera(I know)...Here is a link to the zipline thing - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-I7R9sFcUU -So much fun, EVERYONE should do this!!!

Also, here are a few pics of the B and B......

This is the front of our cabin. That room looking thing on the right is actually the screened-in wrap around porch.

Inside pics of the cabin.

Scenic pic on the property that I thought was cute!

As promised...................Let the randomness begin!

  • I have been eating bananas & drinking Ga.tor.ade like crazy and I am still cramping. My feet, hands, arms, legs, back, side and toes.......Oh and the other day a cramp on the top of my foot - OUCH!!
  • I made taco salad the other night for dinner. The meat was already cooked(from the other night) so all I had to do was reheat it and add the taco seasoning. I smelled the meat when I got it out of the fridge and it ws fine. Then as it was cooking it smelled different. I chalked it up to it being pork instead of hamburger meat.......and kept on making the salad. Long story, short......I fixed my plate and took a bite only to find out that there was no way I could eat it. The taste, the smell....ugh, I couldn't do it. Now, why does my mind go straight to, "Could I Be?".......I'm in the middle of my cycle, why do I even think it?!?!............J said it tasted fine so I'm not sure what it was. I don't get it, it came from the same pkg of meat from the other night and I ate it then and it was good........SO then my mind starts to wonder again?.................Hmmm.

  • NO, I DON'T NEED ANY HELP FINDING ANYTHING! So I'm in the baby/kids dept today looking for b-day gifts for my 3 yr old nieces.......I know I don't have any kids, and being in that dept and shopping for gifts is hard enough, but go ahead & ask if I need help looking for something. Seriously? Do I look that out of place in the baby dept? What is it written on my face or something? Geez, just cause I don't have kids of my own, does not mean I don't know how to find something! *sigh
  • I'm working on another blog. Its not at all like this one more like an advertisement blog for my new attempt for an at-home business. Anywho, stay tuned.....and as soon as I get done tweaking it I will post the site on here.
  • Did I tell you I'm getting laid off next month?? Well, I am, unfortunantly. Its quite ironic, I actually found a job that I like, and now I'm being laid off. Not just me, but 3 other girls too. What are the odds?!? They say they are "making some changes" and well they don't need our dept anymore......Whatever! Sure am glad I signed up for the Christmas fund(takes $75 out of each check). I may not have a job, but at least I'll have money to buy presents.
  • I have been having some major meltdowns lately.....I was driving to work the other morning & lo and behold I realize I am crying. I am still not sure why I was crying, but there I sat in my truck at the redlight with tears in my eyes and wondering what is wrong with me? It seems like I cry more and more each day! Weird, huh?

WOW! 100 posts!!! I would like to thank the Academy......No wait, wrong speech.....I would like to thank all my blog followers! Without you reading my daily thoughts(and sometimes mindless posts) I would just be words floating around in blogland. Thanks for following my blog & if I'm not already following yours I would like to start, just leave your link in the comments and I'll add you to my list!! Thanks so much =)

Bed & Breakfast

WooHoo!!!! I finally talked J into staying at a B&B......AND, we leave tomorrow morning to go and stay at our 1st EVER Bed & Breakfast!!!! I am SO EXCITED!!!! Can you tell?!?!?! We are going with another couple(they have their own cabin, we are not those kinda people:) and we are going to zipline. That is when you strap yourself into a harness and fly about 300 ft(or more)accross the field, up high in the trees!!!! I'm a little nervous, but I think it will be fun!

I'm not going to say I won't be in blog world(cause I'm addicted), but I do want to have a romantical few days, so I will probly have to catch up on my reading/commenting when I get back.

Talk to you soon!

One Flaw In Women

Women have strengths that amaze men. They bear hardships and
they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream. They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in. They stand up to injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have. They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally. They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies. They grieve at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love. They have compassion and ideas..
They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have vital things to say and everything to give.
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,
IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.
Never forget your worth! And always remember, "That which doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger." Thanks for always being ther for me, ladies. You Rock!!

The Secret Things
"The secret things belong unto the Lord our God……"Deuteronomy 29:29

TODAY's WORD from Joel & Victoria Olsteen
Are you going through a situation in your life that you don't quite understand? During these seasons, it's natural to question things in your mind. But during these uncertain times, it's important to continue to put your trust in God.We have to remember, God's ways are not our ways, and we don't always understand what He is trying to do in our lives.
The Bible tells us that adversity will come, but God is the one who promises to lead us into victory. Serving God means we're going to have some unanswered questions. You may never understand why a relationship ended sooner than you would have liked. You may never understand why you lost a loved one. You may never understand why you went through something difficult or why your prayers didn't get answered.
But at some point, you have to decide to put your questions aside and go on with God. We have to decide to trust His character even when our circumstances don't make sense. Remember, He has promised He's going to turn that difficulty around and use it for your advantage. He is faithful to His Word, and you can be sure that He will fulfill every promise He's made to you.
