Pics, pics, and more pics

So my brother called today & said his big smoker/grill that my DH made for him was stolen this am, and did I happen to have a pic of it for the p.oli.ce rep.or.t. I told him I would look. So out to the shed I go looking for pics. I did not find a pic of the smoker, but what I did find was lots of memories, both good and sad.

The good ones were my bridal pics, our wedding pics, nieces and nephews, SIL's wedding (that DH & I were both in), b-day parties, christmas' and family pics.

The sad ones were of the last christmas with my oldest brother, before he died. If that wasn't hard enough, I also came across his obituarie and an newspaper article about his accident. Sigh
All those feelings came back like it happened yesterday and then the tears started. I still cannot believe it was 3 1/2 years ago. The pain still feels so fresh. I loved him so much and I miss him everyday. I don't understand why he had to die. I get that everyone has their time "when to go", but he was only 31 years old. He was healthy and been married to his wonderful wife for just over three years. I still remember her in the hospital w/him. She loved him so much. I hope he knew how much I loved him. I know he is in heaven and I will see him again, but it is still so hard everyday.

Okay, well I'm starting to get sad and cry again so I better stop for now.

Happy Hump Day!!!

While the week is half over, that probly means more to people who work full time. Me, I work part-time out of my house. Its great to be on my schedule, but whats not great is the paycheck. Don't get me wrong - I'm glad that I get a paycheck, its just a lot less than what I'm used to. See, I use to work as a teacher's aide along with this job, so between the 2 jobs I was making good money, well not good, but definitely better than what I make now.

We had already done the 2 Failed IUI's and had moved on to IVF. So, when I got the job I told them I would have lots of dr appts, & they were like "oh, that's fine not a problem."

Also, while working at the school, I talked my hubby into buying me a brand-spankin'-new truck, afterall "I was working fulltime, and we could use my check to make the payment." Great idea, right? Well. yes if I still had that job.

Anyhoo, I quit that job b/c I had already used up all my sick days (and then some) on
doctor appointments during my IVF. And they were getting a little irritated w/all my days off, (seems like they had a prob. with it after all).

So, here I am:
  • out of a job,
  • FAILED, (but still paying for) IVF
  • and a truck I can no longer afford.
Wee what a predicament? What's a girl to do? Fill the voids, you say? Ok I'm working on it. Stay tuned for my next post for more info...........

Yogurt Commercial

You know the one they play at the beginning of summer. Itsy Bitsy, Teeny Weeny, Yellow, Polka Dot, Bikini music is playing in the background, and the girl has her bikini hanging on the wall and if she eats her daily yogurt she will fit into her bikini by swim season.

Well, I was talking to my mom the other day and I asked her if she thought I could get the same kinda result by hanging a maternity shirt on the wall, or better yet, a lil' baby outfit, one boy and one girl outfit, I've always wanted twins! Mom laughed and thought I was sooo funny! She said, she wished it could happen that way for me. Awww. (It's nice to dream every once in awhile, before you get slapped back into reality)

I'm sure by now you have the song playing in your head. You'll be singing it the rest of the day :)
