another loss

Our kitty died last night. I don't believe in signs, but if I did, I would say the loss of two pets in less than two weeks is NOT good. I guess he was sick from the shelter and since he was too young to get his shots, he probably caught something there.... It saddens me and I can't help but wonder, why does death keep happening around me? I told DH last night, "No wonder God won't let us get PG, we can't even keep our pets alive." But, I know that's not the reason we are not PG, I was, I still am sad about it and just had a mild outburst, I guess.

Just when we had narrowed down his name to Winston, Ajax, or Clyde.....

I know you are right in saying that the kitty was just too young, you have to keep remembering that so you don't beat yourself up. I know its easier said than done.

I hope that your heart heals well.

  3. Oh J!! I'm so so sorry! :( (((Big Hugs)))

I agree with Tanya, please don't beat yourself up. That kitty was SO young, I'm sure shelter life did a number on him. It had nothing whatsoever to do with you. If anything you probably kept him as happy and comfortable as he could be while you had him.

I'm so sorry! It was not at all your fault, I'm actually feeling mad at the shelter for you since they adopted him out w/o checking him better.

  6. I'm so sorry about your little kitty- like the PPs said he was just sooo young & you can't beat yourself up about it. You would think the shelter would've been more responsible & kept them longer to make sure they'd be ok.

  8. Awww, I'm so sorry!! He was such a cute little guy. We had a puppy that died a few days after bringing him home from a shelter, so I know exactly how you feel.
