Am I really this dumb.....

......that I cannot figure out how the whole link thing works. (I want to be able to add a link to another site, without putting the whole addy in) I know you supremely smart women have told me before, but can you please tell me one more time. Only this time, dumb it down a bit for me, cause apparently I need it explained to me the same way you would explain it to a 6 year old!

Feel free to leave plenty of "how-to's" and maybe, just maybe I'll figure it out.

Thank you so so much!!

  1. It took me awhile to figure it out too.

There should be a toolbar directly above the box you are typing your blog entry in. It should have all the text, fonts and other stuff in it that you use to customize your post. There may be a picture that looks like a globe with chain link around it, or perhaps it just says link. Click on that box and a little box will pop up asking for the link of the address you want to use. When you have the words typed out on your post you want the link to go to, highlight them and then paste the link into the box that popped up, and that should take care of it.

I don't know how yours is set up, if it's an icon or not, but you will find it. You're a smart gal! You can do it. (I am just not good with giving directions.)

  2. I found that it's best to copy the link before hitting the "link" icon. Once the box pops up, it won't let you go to another blog. So, for example, if I wanted to post a link to your blog- I would type my blog message, then highlight the words in the message (like "Jenn's blog"). I like to have all the tabs open, so I would then go to your blog & copy the http at the top of the screen. Then go back to where you're typing, click on the icon (Sherry's description of it was cool) & paste the http.

Done! :) I should try posting a "help me blog" I'd like to know how to do a word cross out.
