TMI - ok, you've been warned.......
I found a lump in my L Bb. I of course freaked out and am still quite concerned. DH thinks its "no big deal" and I shouldn't worry. But, I should worry, right??? I mean its a lump!!! Okay, its about the size of my fingertip, so kinda small, but stil?!?! I guess what I need help with is deciding what to do. I know, I know I SHOULD go to the Dr and probly will, but don't your Bbs normally change a bit right before/during your period?? Should I give it a couple days and see if it goes away or changes any?? Should I run to the Dr now?? I don't want to freak out over nothing, but then again is a lump really nothing??
First, take a deep breath. That's really important. Then, just to be on the safe side, make an appointment with your doctor. Keep an eye on it. I know your heart must be going a mile a minute just thinking about it. I have had scares like this before, and it's always turned out to be nothing. Try to get some sleep tonight and then call first thing in the morning, again, just be on the safe side. You will be okay no matter what happens. Remember the old mantra: "This too shall pass".

Call the dr. just in case, hopefully it is just one of those hormonal things. Keep us updated !!!
ReplyDeleteMake that call to the doctor and just keep an eye on it. I noticed a lump in my breast last year and had an u/s which showed normal breast tissue. It also could be a cyst. I know it's hard not to freak out, but try to relax and not stress about it. Hopefully it's nothing but your hormones like Dot said. ((((HUGS))))
ReplyDeleteJenn, I found 2 little lumps about a year ago... one turned out to be a little cyst, the other one was a lymph node... no biggie. Most breast lumps are benign so although I recommend you getting it checked out, I wouldn't worry about it. (easy for me to say though right!)
ReplyDeleteI agree with the others. Better to be safe than sorry. I would definitely freak out also!
ReplyDeleteLet us know what happens!
Your boobs change throughout your cycle. The best time to do a self examine is right after your period because the lumpiness you have from all the hormones in your system will go away.
ReplyDeleteLike everyone else said: keep tabs on the lump and make an appt with your dr just to make sure it is nothing.
Ok, I made an appt, but they couldn't get me in until Monday. (I guess cause I'm a new pt)
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of your hugs & concern. I hope & pray its nothing - will let yall know how it goes.
I hope you got some mental relief. Surely it's nothing more than a cyclical lump.
