Sticks & Stones
I am contemplating NOT going private......There are always going to be mean people in the world, it's a fact of life! Someone who doesn't like me, someone who wants to judge me, people that just don't get it and want to tell me all about it. But, they don't have to get it.....I'm not here to please them. It's like my dad always tells me, "don't worry about what others think/say/do......they're just jealous of you!"

I agree! I haven't went private for that reason. I feel like we all bring something to this blogland and we aren't going to have this complete unity because our situations differ, but I do believe that most of us respect each other and don't cause drama for others. Its sad that there are those who can't seem to let judgment and ill feelings go. I love your blog and I have all the hope and faith in the world for you and your DH!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I think there are a lot of benefits to staying public, and there are things you can do to minimize the effect of the meanies out there! (Comment moderation, not allowing anonymous commenters, etc.)
ReplyDeleteI totally do NOT understand why people think they should pass judgment on others' choices/feelings/beliefs/what have you, but I do find that if they're not acknowledged, they tend to go away. :)
